"Ride Safe and Have Fun" - that's our motto and by joining the Cowboy Chapter of Austin, you can accomplish both. If you enjoy group riding and family oriented fun, we would love to have you as a part of our chapter.
We are a very active Chapter with a variety of rides and events scheduled throughout the year. "2011" promises to be even better! We have a lot of activities planned to make your riding experience a fun activity for you and your family.
If you have never been a member of a H.O.G. Chapter, you will find that it is a great way to meet new friends with whom to ride, participate in chapter activities and have a lot of fun! Going to H.O.G. Events allows you to hook up with old friends and make new ones.
As a member of the Cowboy Chapter of Austin 2085, you are encouraged to attend our general meetings held the third Saturday of each month at 9:30am at the Cowboy Harley-Davidson Dealership. Fun happens upstairs on the 2nd floor. This is a great time to socialize, get together with old friends and find some new ones. We discuss Chapter business, distribute information about rides, events, activities for the comings months and play some fun games.
Our monthly newsletter the "HOG WASH" is available at our general meetings, on the website and at our sponsoring dealership, Cowboy Harley-Davidson of Austin.
You can get the latest information from the events calendar on the website which lists both H.O.G. and general biker related events in the Central Texas area.

Chapter History
In February 2002 our
sponsoring dealer, Austin Harley-Davidson /Buell finalized their plans
to start a new Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. South Austin Texas
Chapter, submitted by Mr. Rene Rosales, was the name chosen from the
many entries submitted by Harley Davidson riders all around the Hill
Country area. With a sponsor, officers and members in place, the
National Harley Owners Group assigned the number "5000" to this chapter.
The new chapter needed a newsletter and the first
edition of "Hog Wash" rolled out on March 19, 2002 and included a list
of the first officers, rides, events and pictures.
Well, we grew bigger and
better...Cowboy Harley-Davidson of Austin became our new sponsor
in April 2007. The National Harley Owners Group assigned us a new
chapter number of "2085" and the rest is
history.
