"New rider here......last bike I rode was a Honda CB550 back in the early 80's. No joke! So I waltz into Cowboy of Austin a couple of saturdays ago with my wife and met up with Chopper Dave. Chopper Dave is this cool, laid back son-of-a-gun that made me feel confident about getting back up on the horse again. This time the horse we chose was a 2010 Ultra Classic. Bike feels great, price was right, dealer is taking care of all the new rider issues like getting a license. They even delivered the bike to my house 100 miles away since I wasn't able to take it with me at that moment. I know I am sort of a pain in the a$$ as a new customer but Chopper Dave always calls me back and that Rick fellow does too. Class act! "

"If outstanding can be the word that would discribe my experienace at Cowboys it still would not be strong enough to express how. Let start with my sales guy, what a hoot.. Chopper Dave is the man. He handled my every need over the phone due to I was 3 hours away until the time I drove my scooter to their store. He aided me in my needs for what I wanted in a new bike as well he was patient, understanding cuz I had issues let me tell you, plus he was like one of your bro's you new for ever, thanks Dave... He did what it took to ensure I road home that night. Then theres Russel, my finance guy, that dude is hard, no pulling punches there, but he took care of me. One thing I can say is Russel is good people. He understands what you are going through and how to cater to each person. I had no more room on my loan and had no extra cash, but because I was a repeat customer they throwed in a new sissy bar for my woman.. "I was in the market for a 2010 black Electraglide Classic along with some must have add-ons. After spending Thanksgiving with my son-in-law Bear and daughter Denise in Bastrop, the next day we went in to see Larry in Sales.
He had one on the floor and he spent all afternoon with me going over the options, letting me get a good idea of what I wanted to do. Before it was over, I was ready to pull the trigger and Russel in financing sealed the deal.
Came back the following weekend on December 5th to pick it up after the service dept had installed the add-ons I had opted for. She was a pretty sight to be seen and Larry was just as attentive even though he had already made the sale.

"Over time, my husband and I have purchased 4 Harleys from a dealer (Mancuso) in Houston. So naturally we assumed they would want to work with us again. After putting us off for 4 weeks we decided to look elsewhere. My husband had business in Austin one day and I asked him to go over to Cowboy and check them out. What a pleasant surprise! After meeting our sales person, Nick Schittone, the hunt was on. Nick was pleasant and interested in working with us. Within one week we traded in our custom bikes and bought two new Harleys (Road King Classic and a Softtail Deluxe). Now that is service!!!!!!!!!! Not only was Nick great, but so was Russell in Finance. In fact, all of the employees at Cowboy were friendly and actually greeted us as we walked through the store. I'm sorry Mancuso, in Houston, has become so big they aren't interested in repeat customers. They should take a lesson from Cowboy-Austin! If you are seriously considering purchasing a Harley, you have got to go by this dealership before you sign on the dotted line anywhere else!"

"October 24th, I had a rather serious accident on I-35 with my 2001 FLSTC. I chose Cowboy H-D to do the repairs for two reasons: I was unhappy with service at another local H-D shop, and a friend recommended Cowboy H-D for "anything serious". Michelle in the service department worked with my insurance company, and I was kept informed at every step of the way toward fixing my bike.
When I picked it up, it looked great, ran perfectly and in my opinion is a better bike than before the accident. Everyone was friendly, and the sales staff wasn't pushy or overbearing when I wandered through the showroom floor admiring the new models.
You-all may rest assured that when I decide to trade, I'll be knocking on your door!

"I had ridden sportbikes all my life, but it was time to get on something that the wife would like to ride with me and I found it at Cowboy Harley. I had been shopping around, not just Harley, and was down to a FLHTCU and a Gold Wing (don't hate me). Toward the end of the year I decided to back off and wait for a while to find the right bike, then fate smacked me in the face. I found a 2007 Ultra Classic that wanted to be in my garage. I called and talked to Dave Bigley, before his stint in the covered wagon, but I wanted to see the bike before buying. I backed off again and then found it and bid on it on eBay, to no avail, I was trying to steal it just like everyone else on eBay. Brent called me up a day or so after the "reserve not met" bid had finished and we talked about what it would take to plant my rear in the seat of the bike. I negotiated with Brent over a couple of days, and decided to take a trip to Austin to see the bike. Brent knew that it was possible that all the negotiations were for naught if I did not like the bike, no pressure at all. The week was beautiful, right up until the Friday I was going to see the bike. Stepped into the dealership, saw "my" bike and was greeted by Brent and Dave. They walked me through the process, we added a few things that I wanted to add to the bike and got it into service to get it ready for me to ride. "Zorro" (can't remember his name, but he will know who I am talking about) walked me through the financing, compared to buying a car this was great. Kevin in Service and Joey in Parts were fantastic with their help. Overall, I would say this was like buying form family, but it was better. No pressure, no hasssle, very accomodating, and very informative.
All that was left was my 200 mile ride home in the cold drizzling rain. Hell, after getting the bike I wanted, that didn't even bother me. I had to pass four HD dealerships along the way, and I have no idea how great they are, but I can tell you fist hand, Cowboy Harley is MY HD Dealership. I have to thank my wife too, for making this a great Christmas present. I did not even mind the bow she made me ride around with during the weeks after I bought the bike.

"I recently had a new set of Screaming Eagles pipes installed on my 2001 Ultra Classic. Due to my bike being "ancient", it was difficult for Joey to find them, however, he did a find job of locating a pair. Once they arrived, Kevin asked Eric to install them. Upon inspection, they noticed a very small dent on one of the pipes, which could have easily been hidden once they were installed. Instead Kevin showed me the damaged spot and insisted that they reorder the pipes, which they did. Again, one of the new pipes also had a dent, however, they selected two "perfect" pipes and installed them.
Needless to say, I was VERY impressed Kevin, Eric and Troy's honesty in advising me of these damaged pipes. The new pipes were installed properly and are really awesome. Again, these guys are very professional, they take care of their customers and do excellent work.
Hats off to these guys for their excellent service.

"When my husband stated he was ready to move up to a bigger bike my first thoughts were "Here comes the high pressure sells pitch." Needless to say I wasn't really interested, much less willing to sign my name to a dotted line for the purchase of a new bike. It took my husband basically promising me the moon if I would go ... just to look.
The first sales person that we met was Meg. She was very friendly, never put pressure on us to buy a bike, her whole attitude was the bike would sell it's self. She was awesome and I have to admit she made the experience as fun as possible. Never in my husband's life has he purchased something off the show room floor; when Meg offered to let him test drive the one he saw on the showroom floor I couldn't say no and be a scrooge. He was like a little kid at Christmas.
After the ride we talked numbers and agreed to a price; we then went to visit the gentleman in the the design center. I wish I could remember his name, but he helped my audlt Kid make his 2010 Heritage Softail Classic his. Never once suggesting that we purchase the highest end ... as most dealerships do ... instead he showed us what was available and let us come to an agreement.
When Russell called us to sign our papers he was answered all our questions and even gave us a few answered to things we were not aware of. He offered us all the additional insurances giving us the choice to say yes or no, never once trying to pressure us into purchasing more then what we wanted to.
If anything this experience taught me is that not all dealerships are the same, and I feel like we found a new home, just wish the dealership was closer to Round Rock. Thanks again to the staff at Cowboys, we love our new bike.

"I guess I am lucky and that is why people from Dallas and El Paso drive here to the dealership to buy and get their bike serviced. I have a dealer 20 miles from me but drive 42 miles to Cowboy who has always treated me right. Even met the owner too. He was walking around and hanging in the lounge while people were getting their bike serviced. He did not tell us who was but asked our experience with the dealership and service.
And yes I do my own oil changes but let them do any safety related or warranty issues. They have never given me any crap about my mods and they took what ever time was needed to fix it right. I had one problem with the bike where another dealership said it was ok and "live with it". I knew it did not feel right. I went to Cowboy and Kevin in service had the bike checked and the front wheel bearing was bad. He took the time without an appointment to have it fixed under warranty while I waited. They care about your safety.

"I bought my bike at Cowboy Harley because that was where I bought my first bike, '02 Buell Blast, when it used to be called Austin H-D. Even though its a new name, your store always had more to offer in terms of clothing, bikes, parts, discontinued items on sale, and service.
Although I bought my second bike('03 Buell XB9S Lightning) from the other H-D in North Austin off of Braker & IH-35, yours was different, just different.
Getting my third bike, '09 Sportster 883XL, after being not too happy riding my second bike, my gut feelling proved that Cowboy H-D would do me right, and you did. Mr. Johnny V (Johnny Verlenden) did not give up on me and got me a descent deal on my Buell trade-in and given me an excellent deal on a new Sportster, a bike which I am more happier and confident to ride.
I guess the old saying, "the third is a charm," runs true.

"To the good folks at Cowboy Harley,
Just a few days ago, I had the privelage to buy my first Harley from a great salesman named Chopper Dave at Cowboy Harley Austin. From the beginning of our conversations he was completely and totally professional and honest with me about anything I asked. Due to the fact I knew I'd be having some credit issues, as many of us are in this time, I wanted to make sure I could get the proper financing and bike before I drove from the Corpus Christi area to Cowboy Harley Austin. Not only was I approved for the the bike I wanted (new 2008 Dyna Street Bob with custom accessories), but Chopper Dave and the finance guy, Russell Caraway (pardon me if I got that wrong), actually waited for me at the dealership for 1 hour past closing before I made it there that afternoon and ultimately didn't leave there till almost 9 pm that night, when the store closes at 6 pm normally.
Once I was there, they were very very accomodating to not only myself, but also my wife and 9 month old son as well. All the paper work was already drawn up and they even helped with the insurance part of the deal. Chopper Dave even called me the next day to see how my ride home went. I can't say enough about my positive experience with Cowboy Harley of Austin and I'm proud to now say that I'm a Harley owner, all due to Chopper Dave, Russell and the folks at Cowboy Harley.

After building and riding Harley's for 20 years I bought my first new bike in 07' From "Big Dave" Bigley. "I just felt that it was necessary to thank you for the help and openness of your staff on Saturday during your demo rides. Me and my brother showed up just to take a look around and learned about the demo rides that day. Your staff was very helpful and considerate of us considering our age as we are not the typical Harley kind of guys. Most dealerships we go to typically will not give us the time of day and visit with us, but your staff was extremely friendly and helpful. "On June 12th, 2008 the voltage regulator on my 02 Classic went south. I also knew I needed a rear tire and the rear brake pads needed replaced. I was going to wait until after ROT to get the brakes and tire, but the voltage regulator changed that. I went to the service department at 9 AM on Friday the 13th. Needless to say I was not the only person with issues about their motorcycles with the ROT rally in full bloom. After being checked in by the additional writers working, I spoke to Kevin about the problem and asked if there was any way I could just get back on the road and I would return after the rally for the tire and brakes. He said he would get the bike in ASAP and let me know. Kevin called about 40 minutes later and said that all the work, regulator, tire and brakes could be done that day. At 430 PM he called again and the bike was done. Your service department was on top of it for the ROT rally. To be able to get all that work done when there were so many motorcycles neeeding reapair was excellent pre-planning by the service department and your dealership. Thanks so much for getting me into the rally and a huge thanks for Kevin and all the service personnel for their friendly, helpful and professional assistance during this rally."

"It's the Texas State HOG weekend. I live in CA, but have family and a '95 Sporty in Austin. I arrive in Tx late Thursday, and begin the ride to New Braunfels on my Sporty on Friday afternoon. While cruising on I-35S, afer passing the Ben White intersection, I heard an intermittent clattering coming from the bike. I pulled over and found that a nut holding the muffler on the back head had come loose, putting a stress on the bracket holding the muffler, resulting in the part breaking. I rode on to Cowboy HD and pulled into the Service area. They had already closed for the evening, as it was after 6PM. I told them that I was on my way to the HOG Rally. Kevin came out and took a look at the problem and suggested that I leave it for repair. When I inquired about an available rental, Steve told me that all they had was an '08 Nightster, which I promptly accepted. I continued my ride to New Braunfels within a half hour. When I returned the Nightster the next afternoon, my Sporty was ready. I would like to thank those fine gentlemen in the Service group who stayed after hours, on a Friday, to help me out. When I am in the market for a new bike, I will definitely be buying from these guys. "

"COWBOY HARLEY DAVIDSON ROCKS!!! I am a new customer at CHD. Just bought a new 08 FLHTC...yay! I had purchased a new 07 FLHTC a few months ago at another HD dealership up north (who shall remain nameless). This was our 2nd bike from that place. We were super loyal customers up there until a couple months ago. To make a long story short, my 07 was totaled in an accident and I was put in to a huge bind....went back to them for help. BIG MISTAKE! They gave me the run around like I've never seen! I always had to go there in person to get answers and solutions out of them. Just when I thought they were going to help me out...I get somebody else telling me "There's nothing we can do for you." It seems like they don't know what they're doing. One person says something and the other says something else. So basically I considered myself screwed....that's how they made me feel. Until I came to Cowboy's.
Chopper Dave is the best!! He's done EVERYTHING and more to help me out of this horrible NIGHTMARE! It's been a long process to get my new bike but he stuck by me the whole time. I had to get a $5000 loan to pay off HD what I still owe on the totaled bike (alot of that $5000 is because of that VIP VIP Platinum Club that I only used once). But it's worth it because I now have my new bike like I wanted. Thanks to Chopper Dave and everybody at Cowboy. I love y'all! Even though I live a few minutes away from that other HD dealership's new location, I will never go there again! I'd rather drive across town (even during rush hour) to Cowboy Harley Davidson if I need anything. That other place just lost 2 loyal customers for good."

"On May 29th of this year I was in a fairly serious motorcycle accident when a lady on a cell phone ran into the back of my bike at 35mph. I brought my bike to your service department to see what if anything could be done.
I spoke with Michelle in the service department and she assured me ya'll could help. After recieving a quote from you for repairs (most said it should be totaled), but your service department (I wish I could remember the mechanics name) said we can rebuild your bike.
Not only was it done before the qouted date, but less than the quoted price. Along with the fact that I can not even tell my bike was in a accident.
Being a customer who is big on customer service, I will always use Cowboy Harley as my service center...
I thank you for all ya'll have done"
